John Lawson, one of our most senior members, sadly passed away in September 2019. He was one of the founding members of HAMS who seeded the idea of setting up a drama group in the village. John played an active role in many of our productions both as an actor and generously hosting many script readings and rehearsals at his home. He was always keen to be involved in the organization of HAMS and never failed to support our activities.
In his younger days he was actively involved in theatre and his experience and knowledge of drama was a great asset to the group. On stage he commanded a presence and could deliver a comic line with a mischievous twinkle in his eye and the timing of a professional. Whilst one of our eldest members he was always keen to encourage and was very supportive of our younger cast. He will be greatly missed by all.
Below are a few reminders of John on stage.
